At the Feb. 24 meeting the committee recorded a list of local businesses and sites that could host EV charging stations and assigned follow-up contacts for each. Committee members noted who would reach out to each prospective host: Greenwave (Gabrielle Watson); Profile Subaru (John Kumm); Preserve (John Kumm); Pub on Page (Gabrielle Watson); Tamworth Bakery (Peg Loughran); Tamworth Distillery (Ted Morgan); Hobbs (John Kumm); Yankee Smokehouse (Ted Morgan); Farm to Table (Peg Loughran); Lyceum (T.J.); and Wyatt Berrier (Gabrielle Watson).
Members discussed that business-hosting arrangements could be paired with grant or matching funds and that TEC could assist with funding applications if a host agreed. The committee also considered collecting smaller private donations into the Tamworth trust as initial seed money while pursuing larger grants or matching programs.
