Confluence Park heritage survey delivered; trail reconstruction proposal submitted to Forest Service

Mayor D’Lynn Williams told the Council the City received a heritage survey for Confluence Park from the University of Oregon and that volunteers removed blackberries and planted native species during two November workdays. She said the Park Management Plan is ready for final review and that she will pursue reimbursements through an Oregon State Marine Board grant for the heritage survey.
Williams also reported that the Middle Fork Willamette Watershed Council submitted a Title II funding proposal to the Forest Service that includes trail reconstruction and stewardship at the park. The report signals active volunteer stewardship and pending grant work; no Council action was required at the Dec. 2 meeting.
