Patterson Farm nomination to state Historic Preservation Board set for Sept. 15

Chair Dennis Steadman said Joe Camaratta could not attend but provided an email update: the State Historic Preservation Office scheduled the Patterson Farm nomination for the September 15 Historic Preservation Board meeting.
"The state historic preservation office, has confirmed, that our nomination of Patterson Farm, will be presented at their next meeting, September 15," Steadman read. He said that the nomination, submitted as the Thomas Janney Historic Agricultural District, if approved at the state level would be forwarded to the National Park Service for listing on the National Register of Historic Places, a milestone the committee described as important recognition for the community.
Committee members expressed optimism about the submission and noted the timing was favorable because the preservation office meetings occur infrequently, making the September slot significant for moving the nomination forward.
