Ron Schmidt told the committee that township staff and the implementation committee met to draft a proactive communications plan that would use social media and the township newsletter to educate residents about Patterson Farm and the Thomas Janney Historic Agricultural District.
"The proposal was really for a proactive social media outreach campaign by the township to improve community understanding for the extraordinary historic and agricultural heritage of the Thomas Janney Historic Agricultural District," Schmidt said. The plan calls for an editorial calendar, metrics to assess success and use of themes including farming productivity, preservation updates and stories tied to the farmstead's 300‑year agricultural continuity.
Committee members noted the August 6 deadline for autumn newsletter submissions and agreed to draft a short update summarizing accomplishments, planned work (painting, shutter renovation, LSA-funded design) and outreach next steps.
