The Tamworth Selectboard voted Jan. 13 to sponsor two warrant articles tied to electric vehicle charging in town: one to create an Expendable Trust Fund for Energy Improvements to Town Properties and Infrastructure, and a second to authorize installation of two EV charging ports in the town parking lot to be paid with grant or private funds. Gabrielle Watson reported the outcome to the Tamworth Energy Committee at its Jan. 20 meeting.
Watson told the committee that both warrant-article sponsors passed at the Selectboard meeting and that the committee has submitted a T‑Mobile Hometown Grants application to help fund charging infrastructure. The committee discussed follow-up outreach to local funders and volunteers; the minutes record that John and Gabrielle will follow up with the Tamworth Foundation. The Selectboard sponsorship makes the warrant-article measures eligible for a future town meeting ballot if brought forward by the board.
