Planning staff briefed the commission on ongoing administrative items: a VDOT speed‑study request was submitted (at the planning commission's request) and VDOT confirmed receipt; staff also summarized permitting and inspection activity for April.
Staff reported that one subdivision approval was issued for April, 49 subdivision applications remain pending, 36 zoning permits were processed with 39 pending, 13 E&S residential permits and one commercial E&S permit were approved, and five certificates of occupancy were issued. Staff said fees collected for the month totaled $9,450.11 and that the total estimated construction value for the month was $1,365,954.12.
"...a total estimated value of $1,365,954.12," staff told commissioners while summarizing the building permits and inspections report. Staff also said that, for one CUP the commission had forwarded to the board with recommendation, the zoning permit application had been paid and would be approved by the following day so the applicant could proceed to building permits.
