Board renews conditional use permit for LJD Towing & Repair after cleanup

The Sweetwater County Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved Resolution 25-04-ZO-03 on April 15 to renew a conditional use permit for LJD Towing & Repair, operated by Susan C. Chapman.
County planner Cassidy Brown told commissioners the business has operated at the Mountaineer Subdivision location since about 1996 but the county lacked a recorded approval. Brown said the applicant had cleaned up the property, complied with screening requirements (including the permanent 6-foot fencing along Foothill Boulevard) and provided state licensing for vehicle storage and disposal. "Susan has complied with all of our screening requirements," Brown said. Planning & Zoning recommended approval 4–0 and staff recommended making the conditional use permit indefinite so long as compliance continues.
