The Board considered a revised variance application for 1446 Grosser Road. Tina Curry-Logan said the applicant now proposes "a one-bedroom layout plan in the existing barn as in-law quarters for her mother, instead of the original plan for an entire renovation of the existing barn as in-law quarters." Solicitor Wendy McKenna described a staff meeting in which the Township negotiated a scaled-down plan and recommended that, if the Zoning Hearing Board approves the revised one-bedroom plan, the Township withdraw opposition and impose conditions recorded by deed restriction (removal of separate cooking facilities and utilities to be supplied from the existing home).
Following discussion, the Board approved two related motions: (1) to recommend withdrawal of opposition to the variance request if the applicant revises the plan to a scaled-down one-bedroom in-law quarters with deed-restriction conditions, and (2) to recommend support of the revised one-bedroom plan and authorize the Solicitor to attend the Zoning Hearing on Feb. 5, 2025 to convey that support. Votes were unanimous.
