Carroll County to vote on acceptance of 30-acre donation honoring Dr. Edwin H. Grant

The proclamation notes Mrs. Grant donated roughly 30 acres adjacent to Oak Mountain Green Space, near the school her children attended, as a lasting tribute to the Grants’ community service.
"So on Tuesday night, commissioners, we will vote to accept this piece of property adjacent to the Carroll County Rec Department and the Carroll County Pavilion off of Strickland Chapel Road," the chair said during the meeting. The proclamation described the gift as an enduring legacy and said the county will place the matter on the Tuesday business agenda for a formal vote.
