"This town, this is a town where people show up for each other in good times and in difficult times," Habibi said, urging the council to avoid actions that single out residents. She called on the mayor and council to follow Robert's Rules of Order to keep meetings focused and to call points of order when necessary.
Habibi criticized council member Sweeney and his supporters for choosing "division over unity," and asked the council to refocus on community priorities and respectful governance. The chair thanked Habibi for her comments; no formal council action followed during the meeting.
