The Westfir City Council completed a tally of member ballots and selected its top five legislative priorities for submission to the League of Oregon Cities for the 2024–2025 session. Nicole Tritten, city recorder, said she would submit the council’s priorities before the Sept. 27 deadline.
The five items the council prioritized are: Restoration of Recreational Immunity; Behavioral Health Enhancements; Infrastructure Funding; Lodging Tax Flexibility; and Operator-in-Training Apprenticeships. No alternate priorities or dissent were recorded in the minutes.
