Chad Shelton, who introduced himself as owner and editor of a new seasonal outdoor recreation magazine called Ridgeline, asked the Council for RTMP funding to cover printing costs for a first issue planned for early November. Shelton said he could place a recreation-tourism ad promoting Westfir in the magazine.
Mayor D’Lynn Williams moved to award a $1,000 RTMP grant for publication of Ridgeline; Councilor Edward Johnstone seconded and the motion carried 5–0. Councilor Deretta Huey said she had reviewed the pre-publication issue online and was impressed.
