Council forgives $118.80 in water charges after meter tampering

Mayor D’Lynn Williams moved to forgive $118.80 for water usage at the property; Councilor Katherine Bishop seconded and the motion carried 5–0 (AYES: Williams, Packard, Bishop, Huey, Johnstone). Council discussion noted staff removed the meter and followed the City’s water policy; the Mayor said she preferred to hold off on deciding whether to waive the $200 meter restoration and $50 reconnection fees until service is restored.
