Council shrinks WWFP scope after I&I video-survey cost rises to $24,808

City Recorder Nicole Tritten told the council she had noticed the approved Wastewater Facilities Plan (WWFP) scope omitted the cost of a video survey for an optional Inflow & Infiltration (I&I) study. Adding the video survey increased the I&I estimate from $8,442 to $24,808. The council deferred to City Operator Bobby Archer, who recommended the I&I study, and to limit added costs the council removed optional Collection System Mapping from the WWFP Scope of Services.
Nicole said she signed the DEQ loan agreement for the WWFP but will not sign the City Engineer’s scope until she understands the loan disbursement process; she had a remote meeting scheduled the next day to discuss disbursements and the mayor agreed to attend.
