The State Contractors' Board Residential Recovery Fund Committee met July 23, 2026, in Las Vegas and approved three awards from the Recovery Fund for consumer claims. Acting Chairman Louis Polish called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m., and Interim Executive Officer Paul Rozario confirmed the agenda had been posted in compliance with open meeting law.
The committee considered three claims and approved awards for homeowners. It voted to award Gail Poublon-Wieland $6,230.00 in a claim involving Reno, Heating & Air, Inc. (License No. 56404); to award Adam Guddat $34,310.11 in a claim against All Aces Building & Development Group LLC (License No. 89560); and to award Sandra Magowan $5,000.00 in a claim against Las Vegas Kitchen and Bath Remodeling LLC (License No. 82864). In each case the contractor or managing member was not present; motions to award were moved and seconded and the minutes record "MOTION CARRIED." The meeting adjourned at 11:33 a.m.
The committee record shows the claimants or homeowners were present for two hearings (Poublon-Wieland; the Guddats) while one homeowner (Magowan) and the contractor representatives were absent. No formal tallies identifying individual yes/no votes were recorded in the minutes; each item is recorded as having carried on motion.
