Daggett County commissioners moved to assign county staffer Brock Logan to perform clerking duties for the county weed board, including agendas, public notices, minutes and required reports. Chair Matt Tibbets said the change is meant to correct an oversight in which members of the conservation district had been using state-funded time to perform weed-board clerking.
Debbie Rose, secretary of the Daggett County Conservation District, told the commission state auditors have said the conservation district and the county weed board must post separate agendas and keep separate records. As the commission discussed options, the chair proposed Brock Logan—who already attends the meetings and has access to district paperwork—handle the county duties. "The motion and a 2nd has been made to to assign Brock Logan to handle the duties that we've discussed," the chair stated before the commission voted in favor. Commissioners thanked Debbie Rose for her prior assistance and confirmed the county will proceed with the clerking assignment and separate web postings to comply with state guidance.
