Council approves City Administrator employment agreement, reduces accrued leave to 120 hours

The City Council on June 2 approved the City Administrator Employment Agreement with Ms. Denise Whitehead as presented in revised Exhibit 7 and approved an amendment to the accrued-leave provision.
Council Member Robert "Bob" Jarriel moved to approve the employment agreement and also moved an amendment to Section 8 (Accrued Leave Benefit) to change the benefit from 140 hours to 120 hours; the amendment was seconded by Council Member David R. McAuley and carried unanimously. The underlying motion as amended carried unanimously as well. The action was incorporated in the Minute File as Revised Exhibit 7.
