During the July 30 meeting the board moved through a set of routine but budget-significant items. Commissioners approved resolutions honoring the retirements of Pam Schafer (Human Resources, effective tomorrow) and Laura Webster (911 director, employed since July 1995) by voice vote after motions and seconds were recorded.
On infrastructure and procurement, the board approved a utility permit for Columbia Gas on Avalon Road in Morris Township, approved change order number 1 for Crawford Construction on the Howard Danville Road bridge project (an increase of $108,206.40 to adjust contract quantities and add pile plow driving items) and approved contractor application for payment number 2 for the county's 2026 small asphalt paving/resurfacing project in the amount of $574,159.37 covering a list of roads provided by the county engineer. Each item was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote during the public meeting.
