Resident raises concerns about new four‑day city‑hall schedule and ongoing water problems

Chelsea Bradley told the council she and other residents were not made aware of the city's change in office hours and said taking a weekday away from public access could impose additional costs on residents who must be present for certain services. "I don't see that that was made aware to the public at all," she said, adding the change makes it harder for people whose jobs prevent them from attending during the week.
Mayor Robert Jenkins and other council members responded that the schedule change came from employees' request and an offer from the mayor intended to expand hours of access and to avoid closing at midday. The mayor said the new hours are Monday through Thursday, with extended morning coverage so services remain available. The mayor also told the meeting the city had been awarded a $158,000 grant to address water infrastructure issues; staff later described planning work and an environmental assessment completed as part of that project.
