Staff member Shay told the council that Eureka had no projects listed on the Utah Capital Improvement Board (CIB) portal and urged members to send project lists so the city can meet the upcoming deadline. "If you want me to list those for you, I'm happy to," Shay said, offering to take submissions by email or phone to ensure projects appear on the portal.
Council members said they would consolidate and forward project lists. One member noted the portal allows projects to be listed up to five years out and suggested adding both near-term and longer-term items to preserve grant eligibility. Members discussed combining small water projects to create stronger grant packages and agreed to share bids and cost estimates so Shay could upload them by the stated deadline.
Shay also flagged related opportunities, including a state crosswalk study and other capital-planning steps the council should coordinate with ongoing FEMA-funded projects. The council directed staff to collect project summaries and return a compiled list for review at the next meeting.
