Police report: 761 calls in February; board approves full-time officer offer

He told the board the department ordered new Taser 7 devices that will be placed into service after officer training and that an EV Blazer is at the vendor with an expected 300–340 mile range; the department is working to acquire chargers.
Chief Evans also requested approval of an offer of employment for a prospective full-time officer expected to start near the end of June pending certification; the board approved the hire unanimously. Evans warned residents after a recent string of thefts: "Please make sure that your vehicles are secured overnight as a prevention to this type of criminal activity."
