Planning Agency takes neutral stance on Lehr pool variance at 15 Huntsville Drive

At the March 13 meeting the Planning Agency reviewed a zoning hearing application from the owners of 15 Huntsville Drive seeking relief from accessory building coverage limits to install an inground pool. The application would increase accessory coverage to 14 percent where the ordinance allows 10 percent. The applicant stated the lot is a corner parcel and described the layout as a hardship.
The applicant said his property is on a corner so he has two front yards, and “he feels the layout of the land is a hardship but the pool will be in the back of the property.” Pennoni engineer Allison Lee confirmed that a stormwater management plan has been provided for this proposal. The agency discussed shortening decking on the sides and adding to the rear to reduce coverage and then voted to take a neutral stance on the application; the motion passed with all members voting aye.
