Township adopts Emergency Operations Plan; fire and EMS reports show steady call volume

Supervisors adopted Resolution #01212025-02 promulgating the township Emergency Operations Plan. Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue reported 31 December calls and a 4:58 average dispatch-to-arrival time; Bally Ambulance presented county call distribution and had no objection to the Fair Funding Module.
Manager Andrew Duncan requested adoption of the Douglass Township Emergency Operations Plan and the board voted to adopt Resolution #01212025-02 and promulgation of the Plan. The action passed with both supervisors voting Aye.
Chief Duncan of Gilbertsville Fire & Rescue reported 31 calls for service in December 2024 (24 in Douglass Township), 90 hours 32 minutes in-service time for the month, and an average dispatch-to-arrival time of 4 minutes, 58 seconds. Bally Community Ambulance Association reported 10 calls in Douglass Township in its December municipal summary and Chief Groff said he had no problems with the proposed Fair Funding Module, which supervisors said is being finalized. Copies of EMS and fire reports were made available in the municipal lobby.
