Chief Robert Evans presented the December 2024 police statistics: 738 calls for service, nine reportable accidents, 16 non-reportable accidents, four criminal investigations, one arrest, 28 traffic citations and three non-traffic citations. He noted an increase in weather-related accidents and deer strikes during the month.
Chief Evans also said the department ordered Taser 7 less-lethal equipment to be paid for by an approved grant. When asked about the department's EV, he said it remained in Texas but might arrive Thursday or Friday of that week. The board accepted the Police Department report.
