Douglass supervisors approve temporary 2-lot subdivision for Avante Apartments, contingent on engineering comments

Douglass Township supervisors voted Jan. 21 to approve a temporary Preliminary/Final two-lot subdivision for Avante Apartments to enable financing for future development. Allison Lee of Pennoni & Associates told the board Lot 1 is about 8.32 acres with existing apartments and Lot 2 is about 11.68 acres planned for six apartment buildings totaling 68 units; the lots will be combined again after construction.
The approval was contingent on the applicant satisfying all comments in Pennoni's Jan. 9, 2025 review letter. Chairman Josh Stouch moved the approval, Supervisor Don Bergstresser seconded, and both voted Aye. The board authorized the solicitor to prepare resolution documents for the Feb. 3, 2025 Board meeting.
