Chairman Joe Gallus presented a June 18, 2026 estimate (No. 26‑24) from Epple Exteriors for $6,000 to install three feet of burnished‑slate steel wainscoting around the Legion Park pavilion shelter, including cutting existing siding, adding blocking and matching the new bathroom exterior. Gallus said two other contractors had been contacted but had not responded and that the quote came in lower than anticipated.
Because the expenditure was not in the current budget, the Commission agreed to forward a recommendation to the City Council for approval; Wade Epple indicated the work would be done as a filler job between other projects. No formal vote was recorded at the Commission level to approve the expense—Commissioners indicated consensus to recommend to Council.
