Brett Reynolds, identified in the meeting as present with CIVCO, told the board that "they are ready to do the night flight for the, for the Veil Airport" and that the remaining step was to notify the state and confirm operations staff are prepared. Chair and commissioners discussed calling the state and moving forward; Chair said, "Let's do it," and staff agreed to make the call.
Commissioners also discussed scheduling a review of the operations and maintenance manual with the personnel who will run the system. One commissioner said it would be useful to "sit down with the people who are actually gonna be doing that and go through it with them" so the county is prepared when the state gives final approval. Staff indicated additional coordination with the Vernal airport manager and other basin airports will follow once the night test is scheduled.
