Sequoyah County adopts FY2026/2027 disaster recovery plans, appoints health‑department purchasing officers

On July 13, 2026 the Sequoyah County Board of County Commissioners approved FY2026/2027 Disaster Recovery Plans for the County Clerk, the Commissioners Office and Sequoyah County Districts #1, #2 and #3. The approvals were recorded on motions by Jim Rogers, seconded by Ray Watts, and were adopted by unanimous vote.
During the same meeting the board appointed Marisol Barbosa and Julia McGhee as requisitioning officers and Jenny Jennings as receiving officer for the Sequoyah County Health Department. The minutes record the appointments and the votes approving them, but do not supply text of the disaster plans or job descriptions for the named officers.
