Rexroth seeks 38,000 sq. ft. warehouse on former Yorktowne Kitchens; commission recommends waiver to Final Plan

The Red Lion Borough Planning Commission recommended that Glenn C. Rexroth be allowed to proceed directly to a Final Land Development Plan for a proposed 38,000-square-foot industrial building on Lot 1 of the former Yorktowne Kitchens property. Engineer Blane Markel told the commission the revised plan replaces two previously approved 15,000-square-foot buildings with "one 38,000 sq. ft. industrial warehouse that will be made into four suites." Mrs. Barley moved to recommend approval of the waiver request and Mr. Heim seconded; the motion carried unanimously.

Markel said the revised site plan increases impervious cover slightly and includes a Stormwater Management Report that enlarges the pits and basins to handle the added runoff. He also reported that revised plans dated Nov. 11, 2024 were submitted to address most review comments from C.S. Davidson (Jeff Shue) and York County Planning. The commission discussed outstanding technical items that must be completed before recording—certification and owner signatures on the plan, as-built/record drawings coordinated with the NPDES permit, and a signed Stormwater Operation & Management Agreement.
