The Village has begun a lead service-line inventory effort, Administrator Peter Them told Council Feb. 2. Notices from Arcadis were mailed to property owners whose service lines are unknown, and Kelley Brothers started potholing work today to inspect two points along affected service lines.
Mr. Them said the identification process should take approximately five weeks and that Arcadis’s services and the potholing work are at no cost to the Village. The effort is part of the Village’s compliance and inventory work to identify water service-materials for properties with unknown service-line material.
No property addresses nor the final scope of the inventory were provided in the meeting record; residents are instructed to watch for mailed notices from Arcadis and contact Village administration with questions.
