Durham commissioners approve appointments to boards and commissions

Commissioners praised the competence of the appointees and encouraged those not selected to keep their applications on file (Clerk Wallace confirmed applications remain on file for one year). Commissioner Carter and Commissioner Jacobs both commented on the quality of candidates and the difficulty of selections. The board did not discuss separate nominations or hold roll-call votes in open session for each appointment; the slate was announced as part of the consent process and accepted with the consent agenda.
