Clerk Wallace read the meeting announcements published on the agenda, inviting community members to a virtual RISE Assessment Center forum for youth success and empowerment on Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 6:30–7:30 p.m. and promoting a Durham County Department of Public Health virtual session on diabetes and food labels the same evening at 6 p.m.
"We invite all community members to attend a virtual community forum to introduce our new resources for youth success and empowerment, RISE Assessment Center from 06:30 to 07:30PM on Tuesday, August 27," Clerk Wallace read. The announcements also included sponsor registration details for Minority Enterprise Development Week (deadline Sept. 1), an Aging Well Durham event on Sept. 25 at Duke Memorial UMC (504 West Chapel Hill Street), and a Labor Day county office closure on Sept. 2 with normal hours resuming Sept. 3. Contact details and online registration links were provided in the agenda.
The notices stressed outreach and technical-assistance opportunities for local businesses and residents and included an agency web address for supplier-diversity information.
