Roxbury plans special town meeting to address $8,480 county bill

At the Sept. 10 session the Board of Selectmen reviewed correspondence from the Oxford County Commissioners noting $8,480 the town will owe. The board voted to sign an updated letter acknowledging the amount but stated the town will need to call a special town meeting to authorize payment of that sum.
Selectman Timothy Derouche made the motion to sign the updated letter, with Selectman Matthew Patneaude seconding; the motion passed 3-0. The board directed that Renee Hodsdon would send a separate letter using the original amount to explain that the remainder will be paid after the special meeting.
