The Missouri City Council on June 12 approved a services agreement for Alan Bogard and voted to appoint him interim city manager.
“I make a motion to approve the proposed services agreement for Alan Bogard, which includes consulting services effective 06/16/2026,” Mayor Pro Tem Clauser said when offering the motion. Clauser also moved that Bogard be appointed interim city manager effective 07/11/2026.
The motion was seconded by Council Member Thompson. During a subsequent roll call, council members answered in the affirmative and the clerk announced, “The motion carries unanimously.” The council took no public comments before the vote.
The action approved both a consulting-services agreement with a 06/16/2026 start date and a formal appointment with an effective date of 07/11/2026. The council handled the item during a short special meeting that began at 1:01 p.m. and adjourned at 2:07 p.m.
Council members present during the roll call were identified as Mayor Alikat, Member Brown Marshall, Mayor Pro Tem Clauser, Member Riley, Member Thompson, Member Odekirk (response unclear on the record), and Member Emery. The clerk recorded the motion as carrying unanimously.
