Sienna shopping-center owner asks commission to delay action over permitted uses

Vibhor Mehrotra, who identified himself as the owner of Arvo Sienna Town Centre, spoke during public comment to say the land-use memo for the CNMD annexation does not reflect the center's current tenants or the uses the owner believes should be allowed. Mehrotra said the center contains three buildings (about 27,000 square feet) and that roughly 60% of current space is occupied by medical uses; he asked the commission to review a written letter he submitted and to postpone any vote to allow the parties to reconcile the permitted uses.
"My name is, Vibhor Mehrotra. I am, the owner of, Arvo Sienna Town Centre, which is 1 of the shopping centers in the, annexation CNIMD annexation plan development," he said, noting there are three drive-through uses presently on site and that medical tenants — including urgent care or ER clinics — could be relevant to future occupancy. He recommended the commission not vote today and allow time for staff and the owner to examine the restrictions included when the land was purchased.
Chair acknowledged the request and the commission proceeded with the agenda; no immediate action was taken on the owner's request at this meeting. The owner's letter will be available to staff and commissioners as they consider PD and zoning language for Sienna-related items.
