The Missouri City Council voted unanimously on May 18 to go into closed executive session to discuss agenda item 4A and related matters. Council member Riley moved to close the meeting for that purpose; the motion was confirmed and carried without objection.
Council member Riley said, “I would like to make a motion to go and close executive session, to discuss item 4A.” Another council member also asked that item 5 (5A, 5B and 5C) be included in closed deliberations, citing the statutory provisions that permit executive session discussion of legal advice, certain personnel matters and economic development negotiations. The council recessed and later reconvened; the City Secretary recorded that the motion carried unanimously. The transcript does not record individual vote counts.
