Pam Jordan, administrative officer with Durham County Cooperative Extension, was recognized by the board Oct. 14 for receiving the 2024 Distinguished Service Award from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association.
Donna Rewalt, county extension director, described Jordan’s broad service — including work on racial equity and health and wellness initiatives — and noted Jordan has worked with Cooperative Extension since 2003 and been a member of the professional association for 21 years. "She has both purpose and passion for her work," Rewalt said.
Jordan accepted the recognition and thanked colleagues, family and the Cooperative Extension community. She said serving alongside her team has been a privilege and that she looks forward to continuing to serve Durham County residents.
