A non-resident asked whether commuter parking at the LIRR station is sufficient during peak hours and a resident asked the board to evaluate the number and location of handicapped parking spaces in Lot 4. The minutes also record that requested easements from Linwood-area residents have not yet been received and will require follow up.
Mayor Ekstrand addressed one infrastructure item, saying the county-proposed roundabout at Quaker Meeting House Road, Round Swamp Road, Bethpage Road and Thomas Powell Boulevard "appears that the project start may be delayed due to personnel needs at the County DPW." A representative of St. Thomas Fellowship Café requested consideration for Ryder Cup-related community grant funds to support local organizations; the board did not record an immediate decision on grant eligibility during the meeting.
