Farmingdale board confirms hires, appoints and accepts resignation

At its Oct. 7 meeting the Board of Trustees approved several personnel items, recording hires, an appointment and a resignation in the public minutes.
The board resolved to hire Brandon Cohen as a part-time cleaner for the Fire Department at $21 per hour (RESOLVED #2025-10-09) and approved Keith Dippolito as a part-time parking meter attendant at $18 per hour (RESOLVED #2025-10-10). At prior work sessions the board approved Will Merrins to complete the unexpired term of Fire Commissioner Frank Romano (term expires April 2026) and accepted the resignation of Building Inspector Ron DeMarrais.
Trustee Parisi thanked DPW staff and the village landscaper for their seasonal work and noted the new Yoakum Street Park is complete; the minutes credit Castro Family Landscaping with donated labor on plantings. The personnel items were recorded as resolved in the minutes and will be implemented through the village payroll and department supervisors.
