The Board approved hiring Anthony Tarricone as a part-time substitute Firehouse Maintainer at a rate of $21.00 per hour (resolution #2025-09-10). Deputy Mayor William Barrett moved and Trustee Walter Priestley seconded the action, which is recorded in the minutes.
Trustees also heard administrative reports: Fire Department staffing changes (Commissioner Romano resigned and Chairman Reilly is awaiting a replacement), apparatus floor coating schedule (week of Oct. 21, 7–10 days), and a $100,000 grant for new firehouse windows from State Assemblyman Blumencranz. Building, DPW, and code department updates covered tenant fit-outs, routine maintenance, parking-meter electrification, and coordination with county programs and contractors.
