Farmingdale moves to electrify parking meters and allow Main Street Uber pickup after 10 p.m.

At its Sept. 3 work session, the Board heard that electrification of all parking meters is underway and that sign posts for Main Street have been received. Code officers said they will address noise complaints as they are reported.
Officials also noted a change to curbside pickup policy: Uber parking/pickup will be allowed on Main Street after 10:00 p.m. Staff confirmed that all necessary signage and mounting brackets have been ordered to implement the change.
Weekly inspections of meters were reported to check for malfunctions and the Code Department asked residents to forward any noise complaints so officers can respond.
