Staff said the consultant’s work is aimed at compressing federal timelines to unlock land for housing and industrial expansion and to generate revenue for the city.
Jared Luke of Sand Hill Consulting (speaker 15) told the council he looks forward to partnering with the city’s director of government affairs and land‑use staff and emphasized prior relationships and experience advocating at federal and state levels. “I look forward to working with them again in this capacity,” he said. Council discussion framed the agreement as a long‑term investment in land resources; Council Member Roan and others moved to approve and the motion passed on the record.
