The Clerk Treasurer provided the council with an update on town finances and records management. A fund-balance report as of May 31 will be distributed to council members, and the clerk said 57 of 58 public-records requests have been completed.
The clerk also reported the town’s vendor quotes for moving to cloud-based invoicing and records: an estimated $75,000 per year in operating cost plus roughly $70,000 in startup and training expenses. The clerk asked councilmembers to discuss the value and said he would accept individual feedback on whether to proceed.
Council members thanked staff for progress on public-records fulfillment and asked for follow-up information on the cloud options before authorizing any expenditure.
