Board accepts Washington County Administrative Manual, highlights new PowerDMS policy platform

The Washington County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 July 28 to accept the county Administrative Manual and updates to administrative policies presented for the 2026 cycle.
Erin Calvert, assistant county administrator, summarized the updates and introduced PowerDMS, a new platform launched in June that will centralize the policy life cycle, make documents audit-ready and reduce administrative costs. Calvert said the presentation matched the work session held July 21 and that no substantive changes beyond those previously reviewed were before the board.
Commissioner Snyder moved to accept the Administrative Manual and the motion was seconded; the board approved the acceptance unanimously. Calvert and commissioners said the manual and platform improvements support a healthier workplace and better, more auditable policy management going forward.
