Board approves annexation of about 12.3 acres into Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District

Washington County commissioners voted unanimously July 28 to annex approximately 12.3 acres — two tax lots, portions of six tax lots and right-of-way — into the Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD).
County planning staff presented the request and recommended approval. Tricia Gurisco, associate planner with the land use and transportation department, described the site as "approximately 12.3 acres" located north of Southwest Shoals Ferry Road, west of Southwest 175th Avenue and east of Southwest Tile Flat Road inside the city of Beaverton. Staff told the board that the application met the criteria for a boundary change and recommended adopting a resolution making the annexation effective July 28.
Chair Harrington opened the public hearing and, with no public testimony, closed it and asked for a motion. The board adopted the resolution and recorded the vote as unanimous, 5-0. The annexation will become effective immediately as recorded in the staff recommendation.
