Farmingdale board moves to executive session, approves six routine resolutions

The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village of Farmingdale voted on several procedural matters at its Aug. 26 work session, moving into Executive Session to discuss legal issues and approving a set of routine resolutions.
Trustee Cheryl Parisi moved, and Deputy Mayor William Barrett seconded, the motion to enter Executive Session for legal matters (recorded as Resolution #2025-08-21). Later, Trustee Craig Rosasco moved and Trustee Parisi seconded to reconvene the public meeting (Resolution #2025-08-22).
During the session the board approved a resolution allowing the Farmingdale Soccer Club to use the courtroom on Aug. 28, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. (Resolution #2025-08-23). The board authorized Blackstone Land Title Agency to conduct a complete title search on the Thomas Powell House at an approximate cost of $15,000 (Resolution #2025-08-24) and established a Mayoral Committee to support the Powell House with Trustee Cheryl Parisi and named community members serving initially (Resolution #2025-08-25).
The trustees also approved a contract with Phoenix Wall Covering and Painting to paint doors and door jambs at Village Hall for $1,400 (Resolution #2025-08-26). The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
