The Code Department reported that electrification of parking meters is underway and that sign posts and signage have been ordered for late August delivery. Officials noted weekly meter inspections to check for malfunctions, and cited Section 375 of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law regarding flyers placed on cars.
Separately, the board discussed allowing Uber parking/pickup on Main Street after 10:00 p.m. for summer 2024; all signage and mounting brackets have been ordered. The work session minutes also recorded enforcement issues: an ice cream truck operating illegally on Main Street during Music on Main and on weekends, and that noise issues will be addressed by code or building department officers.
