Multiple Farmingdale development projects advance; 7-11/Sunoco permits waiting construction drawings

Village building staff reported several projects nearing completion and others in permitting. Blue and Gold Development at 1 Conklin Street is under construction and nearing completion; Sterling Green is nearing occupancy with a July 9 lottery that drew approximately 800 applicants. The Carlyle project is also nearing completion and moving toward certificate of occupancy.
Commercial permits: the Zoning Board of Appeals approved plans for 7‑11 and Sunoco and the Board approved a Special Use Permit, but construction drawings are still required before a building permit can be issued; attorney Howard Avertine is following up on an extended Special Use Permit that remains unpaid. Dish Network received a building permit with installation expected in August. Enterprise Rent‑A‑Car received a Special Use Permit approval. Staff recorded other prospective uses, including a Caribbean fusion restaurant proposed for the former Grecian Grill and a potential warehouse/retail baked-goods operation at 621 Fulton Street.
