OVCA board approves minutes, purchase orders and 2026 meeting schedule

Board President Colleen Cook presided over the Oklahoma Virtual Charter Academy board meeting on Oct. 23, 2025, where the board approved several routine governance items. "Carla Maloy made a motion to approve the minutes from the September 18, 2025, OVCA Board Meeting," and the board then approved the Consent Docket covering FY26 purchase orders #251-257, Activity Fund purchase orders #7-26, payment of FY26 K12 invoices pending funds, and OVCA student-led clubs; Philip Grider moved the consent passage and Claudette Goss seconded. The minutes and consent items passed unanimously.
The board also agreed revisions to the 2026 schedule, moving the June meeting to June 9 and changing the Jan. 15 meeting start time to 6:00 p.m.; "Carla Maloy made a motion to approve the 2026 OVCA Board meeting dates, times and locations as revised," which passed without opposition. These routine approvals allow staff to proceed with procurement and scheduling work for the coming year. The meeting adjourned at 7:49 p.m.
