Engineers present design-phase update on Brickhouse Run culvert on West Bank Street

Adam Dixon, representing Clark Nexon (a JMT company), presented drone imagery and geotechnical observations documenting scouring and erosion where a building had caved into an open channel along West Bank Street. He said his team surveyed the area around 110 West Bank Street and that the project is currently in the design phase, with plans expected to be submitted in September for city review before construction begins.
Vice Mayor Hill asked about traffic staging and whether the work could be done to minimize lane disruptions; Dixon and city staff said the alignment and scouring near the creek crossing require channeling traffic toward the middle of the roadway to keep vehicles off weakened shoulders. Dixon said the team meets weekly with city staff to track progress.
